Causes of Global Warming

Fossil Fuel Combustion: A significant portion of global warming can be attributed to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas, largely used in electricity generation, transportation, and industrial processes. The combustion of these fuels releases substantial quantities of carbon dioxide (CO₂), a potent greenhouse gas that traps heat in the earth’s atmosphere, fostering a warming effect.

Deforestation: Trees play a crucial role in absorbing CO₂ from the atmosphere, helping to regulate the Earth’s climate. Deforestation, which is the large-scale clearing of forests, disrupts this natural balance.
